* Please note: Due to the Corona virus only electronic versions may be submitted this year.
The Diamondback Medallion Award is an opportunity for students to start thinking about college and connecting the work they do in middle school with their goals for the future. The earlier students begin to think about higher education, the more informed and prepared they will be when they begin the application process.
To complete the Diamondback Medallion Award, students must submit a student portfolio which will include a compilation of his/her work in four different categories: Leadership, Academic Achievements, College Readiness, and Career Readiness. Students must complete a minimum of 20 points in each of the four categories and must complete a minimum of 100 points overall. There is a flexible 20 points that the student can choose to earn in any category.
Students may begin working on his/her portfolio as soon as 7th grade; however, we will only accept completed portfolios from students in the spring of his/her 9th grade year.
